All public endpoints live on one origin with a version prefix:
Do not add a trailing slash. POST https://vidgen.id/api/v1/generate/ can be answered 404 by the router.

Path list

Generated results are served through two unversioned paths on the same origin: Both are fully packaged inside the result.url field, so treat that value as a black box: download it, store it, do not parse it.

Where can you call it from?

The Vidgen API does not send CORS headers. Calls from a browser on another domain are blocked, even when the key is correct. Run requests from your backend, worker, or Edge Function, then pass the result to your frontend.

Versioning

v1 is a stable namespace. Breaking changes (a field removed, a status meaning something else) are announced in advance and published as v2; until then v1 keeps being served. Non-breaking changes — a new model in the catalog, new credit prices, an extra optional field in a response — can appear at any time. Design your client like this:
  • Ignore fields you do not recognize.
  • Read the model catalog from the server; do not hardcode it.
  • Treat parameters as an open enum: validate values against GET /api/v1/models before sending.

Backup host

Some Vidgen production environments run on an alternative domain (for example vidgen.my). If vidgen.id cannot be resolved from your server, just swap the origin; every path above stays the same. When you contact support, mention the origin you are using — not the name of whatever service is behind it. Vidgen deliberately never exposes upstream provider identities in public responses, and the error messages you see have already been scrubbed.
